Part of TA's efforts to further technology's contribution to U.S. economic
growth involves the provision of incentives to encourage technology innovation
and excellence. TA's incentive programs include financial support, recognition,
and opportunities for practitioners to learn and share knowledge. Descriptions

The National Medal of Technology is
the highest honor awarded by the President of the United States for technological
innovation.
The Malcolm Baldrige
National Quality Award promotes and recognizes business performance
excellence and quality achievement by U.S. manufacturers, service companies,
educational organizations, and health care providers.
The Commerce Science and
Technology Fellowship (ComSci) Program was established to provide
senior level executive branch employees with an opportunity to study
national and international issues relating to the development, application
and management of science and technology.
The Advanced Technology
Program forges partnerships with the private sector to provide
early stage investment to accelerate the development of innovative
technologies that hold the promise of significant commercial payoffs
and widespread benefits for the nation.
The Manufacturing
Extension Partnership is a nationwide network of not-for-profit
Centers in over 400 locations nationwide whose purpose is to provide
technical and business assistance to small and medium-sized manufacturers.
